This would be against the rules on 4channel because posting pictures of trump that positively affirm trump is against the rules on 4channel.

Are there any right wing or republican programmers here on 16chan?

Is there anyone here who like me has a problem with censorship in technology communities against the right wing?
>being into politics
>thinking of politics as a line rather than 8 directional

The traffic that doubled 4chan during the election should probably go kill themselves for the fact that their reddit is so capitalistically corrupt that it forced them onto a place they're not compatible with at all. Programmers are communist tier with linux they say, so are you asking if anyone here works for google or intel or something? A statist?

t. faggot that can't use a computer
>>458
Communism works with computers because it costs almost nothing to copy a program.

Communism does not work with these products:
>food
>medicine
>land
>housing construction
>clothing
>school resources like books and buildings and teachers
>roads
>prostitution/pussy
>sexbots
>iphones
>other consumer goods

The reason it does not work with these goods is because these are not so easily copied. It costs immense resources to produce many of these, and they are not finite. Land for example is very finite, and there is only so much to go around.

But, that's like, you're opinion, man.....
>>458
huh... ur right it was probably the traffic doubling in the 2016 elections along with jidf that caused most of 4chode's problems.

imagine having only one good video about explaining how having a hammer that does two good things btfos the whole unix philosophy to some extent.
If there's something /g/ doesn't need is a male attention whore.
>>280
I am a unix demi-god. I have studied the unix way more than you realize.

If you truly understood my video about hammers then you'd realize why forth is "the ultimate unix way".
I sent this to Rob landley:

Thesis: Since filesize and memory footprint are the most precious
commodity, toybox needs forth.

Premises.

Toybox apps must be:
A. Fast:
Forth is significantly faster than sh + awk.
B. Small:
Forth < 1 kB
C. Memory Safe:
Either:
Require root to run forth in memory unprotected mode,
OR
(As a last resort) I'll add memory safety.

gentle reminder that I am the king of /g/ and you should program in forth

Hold on a minute why was one of these pictures removed?

I just now realized that some of the boards are SFW however one picture was literally of a silicone tube.

So is posting silicone tubes NSFW?
>>473
Yes Anon. If you had a corporate desk job, do you think the boss might have something to say about you browsing (whether witnessed by co worker and rated by IT) a thread with silicone fleshlights and child rubber dolls? Please think before you post in SFW boards.

Richard Stallman resigned Anonymous 09/19/2019 (Thu) 02:38:51 No. 52 [Reply]
Richard Stallman resigned from the FSF over a long weird comment he made about Epstein
What does this mean for free software?
I personally think that he overreacted. He's successfully passed off projects to others in the past, but I have little faith that the FSF will find a competent, or trustworthy, replacement.

Right wing are cucks and deserve and get the same treatment. Both wings are a Jewish construct.

>Can you explain it a bit more?
I'm no legal expert however stalman tried to force something like a auto update for the license from the start only a legal auto update.

Meaning if you would license your code with GPL3 and GPL4 comes around it legally is under GPL4 now.

You can see how stupid and dangerous this is.
I can not find linus talking about this, however I remember it.

GPL3 is ....
Did you read a GPL2 license VS a GPL3 license?

GPL2 is normally written.
GPL3 reads like a raving lunatic that has schizophrenia.

I don't know if GPL3 is even enforceable in court.

Why does everybody who's anybody use irc if it's insecure?
>Even if the server itself encrypted the messages/uses SSL, it's a moot point: everyone can connect and read what you're saying unless you encrypted it on your end. IRC admins can read your private messages as well.

>The vast majority of servers I've visited also expose your IP Address to everyone unless you're behind a proxy or VPN, so there's no real anonymity. Even the ones that partially mask your IP will show part of where you are. For example: Random432342.hsd1.ca.comcast.net. While other servers will block everything, all IRCops/admins know the real IP you're connecting from. What's to stop them from cooperating with law enforcement?

>Your IRC client could also be vulnerable to buffer overflow attacks / string formatting vulnerabilities / etc. Or maybe you'll just click on a drive-by-download link...
https://security.stackexchange.com/questions/113532/how-is-irc-so-secure-untraceable-that-hackers-and-pirates-use-it-to-communicate

Just the fact that everyone can see my ip scares me... Is there a way I can talk to all the cool kids but still be safe? What's your irc setup? What's the most common setup? I really want to start using it, but after reading this I'm a little put away...
(18.81 KB 256x256 hexchat-logo.png)
You are right to be cautious - IRC is good for some things, bad for others. It is a good choice for a technical project community, and a very bad choice for discussion of politics.
You should assume the default for all IRC channels is permanent, publicly accessible logs. Very useful for
For a server such as freenode, here's a pretty standard setup:
- connect once to the server using your real IP
- register your nick with the server
- reply to the email they sent to confirm registration
- setup SASL on your IRC client
- disconnect and turn your VPN on
- connect back in, hope SASL works, then join a channel

This solves the I.P. problem. It will simply instead say "username joined from [email protected]_VPN, which leaks far less information. That protects you from rando's, but admins can still get you.

If you want to talk about something that's not a technical reference project, you'll probably want something else. I've heard Riot, Telegram, and Signal mentioned, but I don't know enough to recommend one.
(37.70 KB 964x580 foo.png)
IRC is from the 80's and nobody cared about being 100% anonymous. I still don't. But I tried to use IRC some months ago and the server bitched at me for not having a registered nick (which requires signing up with email address). Those are extra steps I don't want to go through, so I didn't bother, and I /quit the server. Haven't bothered with IRC since. Back in the day, if someone else had taken your nick, you just used another one. It wasn't a big deal, and your friends would recognize you anyway from your hostname. Also we had a lot of fun with netsplits and channel takeovers.
If you want to be safe from buffer overflows and shit like that, just setup OpenBSD on an ARM SBC and run IRC on there from an unprivileged account that's not in the wheel group and also doesn't have doas/sudo access. I would guess the IRC clients in packages/ports have been pledged and unveiled by now.

The way to do programming is just to code java and shut the fuck up and if a black woman or a trans woman or a feminist with purple hair shows up you better shut your fucking mouth and keep your opinion to yourself and say yes ma'im or they'll send the cavalry quick.

ok, it's pretty straight forward.

> download hardened gentoo with SELinux patches
> set up systemd
> download and configure git master from the tor project
> build it using the provided makefile
> set up the aliases and unit files to start tor when your computer starts
> configure interfaces, ports, and application settings carefully to ensure all traffic is routed through tor
> double check everything because you most likely fucked it up and will get vanned immediately

<I mean you could also download the tor browser bundle, start it up, and have it just werk and be properly configured like the kids on youtube do but I don't know why anyone would do that.

obviously all of this advice only applies to minecraft and I don't condone any illegal activities.

Tor is often banned and you must use bridge connections. Reinstall and go to their website to get some, or get the bridge connections somewhere else.

Also finding onions is basically impossible and people will meme your ass that finding them is easy.

Yep, all 50 of us out of 200k. This kinda shit is why pisscord is taking off. You may as well have a ring and that actually is advertised so is getting used for small groups. When you have 10 different bunkers to choose from the 500 that could have been becomes soon 10.
